Safeguard S140 is a 3 layer polyester laminate 14 mil (.014”) which offers maximum resistance to breakage caused by blunt force trauma. The primary application is on doors and sidelites. For higher protection the laminate can be bonded to the frame with 3M's Impact Protection Adhesive System.
Safeguard S80 is a two layer polyester laminate 8 mil (.008”) that provides moderate resistance to forced entry since it has both a low tear resistance and break strength. It is primarily used as a security film to hold glass together in the case of breakage. This clear, single-layer polyester film also has a special thicker adhesive to hold broken glass together.
Safety S20 Exterior is ideal for low to non-impact safety applications. This window film may be used for fragment retention, and address the problem of spontaneous glass breakage in the event of severe weather events.
